Michael J. Hicks, Co-Executive Producer for "Nu LEGACY: ReBirth of the Nu Light"

Michael J. was born in La California, studied music at the University of Missouri and immediately began mastering progressive jazz techniques to integrate into popular music. He began combining different genres of top forty music focusing on strong rhythm drum track productions and intriguing music arrangements giving popular music a different sound and feel.

Michael J began performing and producing in the early 1980's opening with his original project band "Manual Labor" for Johnny Gill and became the musical director for Stacey Lattisaw for a brief time shortly after. Wanting to begin his own musical journey he decided to form his own musical network of lyricists and solo artist.

Since then he formed Manlab Music Productions and has been writing and producing for local artist using his musician skills as a bass player and keyboardist.
